Basil Spritz

Bar Hitchcock features an array of seasonal spritzes and restorative cocktails created by Erik Hakkinen of Seattle’s highly acclaimed Zig Zag Café. Here, as the name suggests, fresh basil complements a gin and pear liqueur base. 


Serving: 1

  • 1/2 ounce dry gin
  • 1/2 ounce pear liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 3-4 basil leaves
  • 2 ounces soda water
  • 3 ounces prosecco

Garnish: basil leaves or basil crown

  1. Combine gin, pear liqueur, lemon juice, basil leaves and soda in a mixing tin and shake with ice.
  2. Strain into a wine glass filled with ice.
  3. Top with prosecco.
  4. Garnish with basil leaves or basil crown.
